Well, Sunday was our Stake Conference and we attended the 9AM session. I thought other Mom's out there might be interested to hear what I got out of the meeting with a 3 year old and a 15-month old in tow...
When it was all over and we were walking to the car I told Kaelynn I was proud of how good she was. She said, "Yeah Mom, what was I good at?" I told her she behaved well at Stake Conference. She then said, "Yeah, well I don't think I like Stake Conference." I had to hold it together because it was said so cute and innocently.
Then, as we were traveling home Alicia was screaming and crying in the van. I was mostly tuning everything out as there wasn't anything I could do for her. Kaelynn then pipes up, "Hey Mom." (No response on my part) Again, "Hey Mom!" "What, Kaelynn?" "I guess Alicia doesn't like Stake Conference, either." Well, that did it. Adam and I were both cracking up -- Kaelynn was pretty proud of herself because soon the whole van was laughing (Alicia included).
So, hopefully in another few years there will be more spiritual gains made during our Stake Conference attendance. As for yesterday, Adam and I were proud of ourselves for surviving the task and a bonus to get a good laugh after it was over.

That is very funny. I don't remember particularly loving stake conference at that age either. I was glad to be shipped to the other building for primary. Did you guys do that? Oh wait, you probably didn't have another building to be shipped to.
Yeah, no other buildings Merilee. NOt for at least 100 miles where I came from. This is a great story Amy. Hilarious.
I love this story, so funny! Kids say it like it is, that's for sure! And Merilee, I remember going to Primary during SC, but we just stayed in the same building. I wish we still did that, then I might actually "get" something out of it;)
Get something out of church? Huh? Ben was born 4 years, 10 months and 18 days ago...and I haven't gotten one thing out of church since then :)
Cute story! I love listening to the crazy things that come out of kid's mouths!
Hi - just read it all! You've got me motivated to do my own blog! I like your cabinets and couches and photos of the kids. Alicia is so big - I remember holding her and she was just a baby! I'll let you know if/when I get my blog up and going. -Alexa
