Well, welcome back to the blogging world, huh?! I know it's been entirely too long since we've had an update here and let me tell you I am feeling overwhelmed at all that I need to get posted. In fact, I've been so overwhelmed that I didn't know where to start... so I didn't. Well, after figuring out that's not a good plan I am jumping in and trying to catch up it's going to take some time though but let's just say we have had a busy summer!!!
Glad to be back and happy reading!

Cooks in the Making
It's no secret to most people that I love to bake. I have had to adapt my style quite a bit because I almost always have a helper who wants to be VERY involved in EVERY step of the way. OK -- so it's good (most of the time), but now I have 2 helpers. This is by far their favorite part...

What a great big sister, showing her how to not miss a bit of deliciousness! Judging by their faces it must have been yummy!

Aren't Dads fun?
I love to watch Adam play with the girls -- first of all, they love it and second he does things that I would never think of...
Yes, she's sitting in the bucket with the Legos and this was one of her favorite things to do for quite sometime, who would've thought?! I'm too logical -- Lego bucket is for Legos...
Swimming Lessons
Kaelynn had the chance to take some swimming lessons at the end of last year and then again this spring and she had so much fun! She actually learned a lot and got over quite a bit of fear, it was really fun to watch her get braver and braver as she grew more comfortable with the water. When we started she wouldn't even let the water touch her chin and by the last lesson she was putting her whole face in so it was great progress! Way to go, Kaelynn!!

Seattle Trip
In May our family had the special opportunity to go back to Seattle and be with dear friends as their adopted baby Calvin was sealed to them and given a blessing. It was such a beautiful occassion and we were so fortunate to be able to be present. These friends have been so dear to us and we feel they made our move (though short it was) to Seattle an absolutely wonderful experience. We truly love you guys and miss you terribly!! We are so thrilled for you and your family -- welcome Calvin!!
