Happy Birthday!
Well, K has turned 5 and is ready to tell the world about it. Literally, she tells everyone she meets (whether they care or not) that she is 5 now! We got to celebrate her birthday while we were on vacation and she thought that was pretty cool!

She loved everything about her birthday and was very excited to be spending it with her family! This dear girl is a true treasure in our family and we love her so much! We are so excited for her upcoming year and all of the fun things kindergarten will bring for her. We love to watch her learn and grow and she has a thirst for knowledge that can not be quenched. She is also so concerned about making good choices and pleasing those around her. She is a wonderful big sister and has a little sister who thinks the world of her and a brother who finds her hillarious! We are so grateful to have you as our daughter and hope you know how much we love you!

Family Vacation
July started off with us going on a vacation to attend a reunion and spend some time with family members we don't get to see very often. It was so much fun and we loved seeing everybody!
This is what my girls decided to do at my sister's house!

And they also got to experience their very first parade:

Preschool Graduation
Well, it is hard to believe but in June our baby girl K graduated from Preschool. (It seems odd they call it preschool graduation, but whatever...)
Anyway, she was very proud to have Mom, Dad and Grandma there that day and loved showing us all of her friends and her teacher. We are very proud of her and the growth she has experienced this last year! This preschool was great for her and we are so thankful she was able to participate. Now, kindergarten here we come!!!

The Waterfall
In May we went to a nearby waterfall and walked to the top. The weather was perfect and the view was gorgeous. The only downside was that we have 3 children who all think they should be carried to the top. This does not work too good when there are only 2 parents! Our dear little A was a trooper and pretty much walked the whole thing (with some dragging and a lot of coaxing) while the big girl K and the baby S were carried!

The adventures of sleeping
Here are some pictures of A on her first night in her toddler bed! It's completely mind-boggling that I got away with keeping her in her crib until she was 2 1/2 (especially if you know what spunk this girl has). The only reason she had to be transitioned is because her Dad showed her how to climb out on her own. I was stunned when I learned that! I thought it was great that she hadn't figured it out. Although, it was a bit dumbfounding because she would watch her big sister climb in and out of there all the time when she would climb in to play! Anyway, she was excited!! (Check out her AWESOME hairdo, too!)
And here you can see that K did not approve of taking her nap on the bed but rather set up her own sleeping arrangement! TOO CUTE!
