I know, you probably all think I am playing a giant game or hide-and-seek. I've been so absent from my blog it is embarassing! I don't even have a very good excuse, life just got busier and then I didn't get anything posted and then there was so much to post that I couldn't figure out where to start -- so I didn't do anything. Really lame! Anyway, I promise to try harder at being more consistent and keeping people up-to-date. I do really enjoy reading everybody's blogs and am still working at convicing some others I know to jump on board. I guess I should be a better example if I'm trying to convince others! ;-)
Thanks for checking on us!

Primary Talk
Kaelynn was asked to give her first talk in Primary a couple of weeks ago. I was seriously wondering why they ask Sunbeams to give talks in February -- wouldn't October/November be better? Anyway, she didn't realy have a clue what was going on despite us talking it through at home and even doing some role play.
She started out really well and said the first sentence clear as a bell, and then....

Yep, not another word. Mom gave the talk from that point on. However, she did think it was very cool and mandatory that she hold the microphone all by herself!

It was pretty cute and totally hard to believe she is old enough to be doing that already, wow, time really flys!

Leather and Static... who knew?
Well, our wonderful new furniture has come with a new problem.... static cling. I mean serious static cling. Whenever the kids get on the couch this is the result:

Alicia's hair does it too but the picture didn't do the problem justice because her hair is short.
So to all you Mom's out there -- any great home remedy ideas?? Most of the time I wonder why I fix hair anymore when it ends up like that!!
It is pretty funny though especially when Kaelynn laughs at her "wild" hair!

Can we eat?
Eating and children -- one of the most difficult things for me. It's either you can't get them to eat anything or they won't stop eating and I am always trying to think of what to feed them next. Here are a couple of things that were pretty funny though:
Last night we had some ice cream cake and Kaelynn was very concerned about the chocolate that was still on her plate so, Dad stepped in for a teaching moment:

She has now been taught to "clean your plate"!
Well, not to be out-done by big sister, Alicia had her moment as well. This was about a week ago when Adam and I decided to go out to dinner -- with the kids -- a rarity really, it's usually such a pain it's not even worth it. Anyway, they actually did really well. So, Alicia has decided she is only going to feed herself and here she was very proud of her success with the fork:

But, now how to get a bit proved to be difficult:

It's great to have moments like these where we really get a laugh and remember how cute the kids are, in between all the hard work!!
