Primary Talk

Kaelynn was asked to give her first talk in Primary a couple of weeks ago. I was seriously wondering why they ask Sunbeams to give talks in February -- wouldn't October/November be better? Anyway, she didn't realy have a clue what was going on despite us talking it through at home and even doing some role play.

She started out really well and said the first sentence clear as a bell, and then....

Yep, not another word. Mom gave the talk from that point on. However, she did think it was very cool and mandatory that she hold the microphone all by herself!

It was pretty cute and totally hard to believe she is old enough to be doing that already, wow, time really flys!

Oh, yeah, a show of hands for how many parents out there have given the talk while our silent children stand by?

WOW...a sunbeam giving a talk in FEBRUARY?! I agree, that is early!!! Ben is a CTR5 and still hasn't been asked to give a talk. But I am sure my turn is right around the corner :)

Oh, I am laughing at the thought of my Sunbeam giving a talk! I'm impressed you got her behind the podium...

I loved hearing about Kaelynn and her talk. Garrett's first talk was a disaster. He just wanted to talk about what he wanted and he hated when I whispered in his ear. His next talk with lots of practice went much better.
